A Florida woman bit the testicles of a camel at the Tiger Truck Stop in Grosse Tete after she found herself under the animal. Truck stop manager Pamela Bossier says the woman and her husband entered the enclosure to retrieve their dog when the encounter went south.
“He did sit on top of her and she told the police, she then bit him, in his private area, and they got the camel off,” said Bossier.
Security camera footage shows the couple was throwing dog treats at the camel when their unleashed dog ran into the camel’s enclosure.
The initial inspection of the camel’s scrotum did not show any teeth marks or tearing of the flesh, but Bossier says a witness says there is a reason for that, adding a vet is going to examine the animal further.
“The girl in the back said she didn’t have any teeth. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but that could explain why there are no bite marks, but we still got a vet coming to check him out today,” said Bossier.
Bossier says the camel, named Caspar, is usually a pretty nice animal.
“We’re affectionate to him. Any animal is going to be aggressive if you swat at them, and slap them, and hit them with objects,” said Bossier.
