LSU Football Coach Ed Orgeron calls on citizens to follow the game plan, by washing your hands, cleaning surfaces and socially distancing to help the fight against the spread of COVID-19. Coach O participated in a unified command meeting with Governor Edwards.
“I can promise you this, the state of Louisiana is fortunate that Governor Edwards is our leader. The state of Louisiana has people all over the state working as hard as they can for us to get through this,” says Orgeron.
Orgeron says he knows this will be a challenge, but adds this is not the time to be selfish and urges young people to stay home.
“Just like I asked the Tigers man we put 11 men on the field and we fight like tigers, it’s about execution, it’s about one team one heartbeat everybody pulling together,” says Orgeron.
Orgeron says Louisiana residents are tough and resilient adding there is no better way to prove that than by beating down the spread of coronavirus.
“I do believe in the state of Louisiana it is going to get tough over the next two weeks, but come on, we tough, bring it on! Let’s just follow the plan, do the things that we are supposed to do, and I guarantee you that we will win,” says Orgeron.
