A 24-year-old Lincoln Parish man is dead after being shot at a party of three to four hundred people.
Lincoln Parish Sheriff Sgt. Matthew Henderson says deputies were responding to break up the event when they heard a single gunshot and saw a man approaching them.
“An individual later identified as 24-year-old Peter Guy came running to deputies exclaiming that he had been shot. Mr. Guy was going in and out of consciousness by the time he had made it to deputies,” says Henderson.
The victim, Peter Guy, was transported to Northern Louisiana Medical Center where he later died.
Henderson says the party Mr. Guy attended had made two previous stops in the parish before meeting at the final location along Highway 146.
“The party would change locations, a report of loud music or disturbance would be called, deputies would respond, break the party up, and then it would migrate to a different part of the parish,” says Henderson.
Local reports say there were at least 100 cars lining the road leading up to the party.
Henderson says it’s highly likely some useful information that could lead to an arrest was captured on some of the party-goers phones.
“We are asking if anyone had any clips or videos from this party that might shed some light on this incident we are asking that they come forward,” says Henderson.
