Taysom Hill will reportedly start at quarterback for the Saints this Sunday when they host the Atlanta Falcons. Saints Radio Network color analyst Deuce McAllister on why Hill gets the nod and not Jameis Winston.
“I think they felt that from a game-planning perspective with them being able to go out and execute some of the things they wanted to do, they felt more comfortable with Taysom Hill being that guy.”
McAllister believes that with Hill under center, the Saints will use a lot more rollout passes.
“I think you’ll get a quarterback moving out of the pocket, you’ll have some drop back passes for Taysom but a lot of it will be off play-action getting him out on the edge.”
“He’s got a strong arm so you’re not worried about his ability to throw the ball deep or being able to hit some of the passes, I think the biggest thing for him is making sure his footwork is good.”
