The search continues for the seven crewmembers of the Seacore Power who remain missing after the commercial lift boat capsized nearly two weeks ago during stormy weather in the Gulf of Mexico. United Cajun Navy volunteers have recovered hard hats and life jackets that say Seacore Power. Ronnie Adams from the reality TV Show Swamp People say it’s an encouraging sign.
“We are going to keep on searching because we got hope baby, we finding the debris, one way or the other we are going to find them and give closure,” said Adams.
The life jackets were found near Whiskey Island, which is 33 miles west of where the lift boat flipped. Hundreds of people are involved in the search and Adams says they have dozens of boats leaving Cocodrie to search the waters. He says the United Cajun Navy is accepting donations.
“The United Cajun Navy guys we can use it to fuel these planes, boats, anything, give closure, please,” said Adams.
They also have volunteers on foot and A-T-Vs searching the marshland. Volunteer Cindy Reily says they have one goal.
“We are exhausted, but we are not going to stop, we are not going to stop, until all seven of these boys are brought home to their families,” said Reily.
