Louisiana football legend Terry Bradshaw has revealed he battled two forms of cancer for the past year. Bradshaw says he had Bladder cancer and then a rare skin cancer. The Shreveport native, Louisiana Tech star, and NFL Hall of Famer shared his story on Fox NFL Sunday. He’s a co-host on the show.
“I may not look like my old self, but feel like my old self. I’m cancer-free and over time I’m going to be back to where I normally am. So I appreciate your prayers and your concern,” Bradshaw said.
On the September 27th show, he appeared to be in pain and struggling to breathe.
Viewers noticed and started asking questions on social media. The 74-year-old Bradshaw says he decided it was time to share his medical info.
“In November I was diagnosed with bladder cancer. I went to the Yale University Medical Center. Surgery, treatment, as of today I am bladder cancer free,” he said.
But four months later, in March Bradshaw says he noticed neck pain.
“I had a bad neck, I get an MRI. Now we find a tumor in my left neck,” he said, and added the tumor was successfully removed
Bradshaw won four Super Bowls with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He retired from football in 1984 and began his television career as an NFL analyst. He has been with Fox NFL Sunday since 1994
