Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow has launched a nonprofit program to help families in need overcome food disparities, and childhood mental health issues. The Joe Burrow foundation will provide resources to underprivileged families in Ohio and Louisiana.
The former LSU star’s dad Jimmy Burrow, will serve as Vice president of the Burrow Foundation. He says he’s transparent with the conditions of families in Baton Rouge.
“We have food insecurities for sure here in South East Ohio and we know they are in Baton Rouge so hopefully we’ll provide resources and opportunities for families. Were hoping to service the area down there,” said Burrow.
Burrow says although the foundation just started, donations have already begun to pour in.
“There was $12 thousand dollars this afternoon i haven’t checked since. Instagram basically shut the foundation down because they couldn’t believe how many followers that foundation was getting,” said Burrow.
Burrow says they are working with advisors in Baton Rouge for financial assistance.
“Booger McFarland, Todd Graves with Raising Canes, Dr. Craig Green, and Blaine Lord. Were going to rely on them to put together a plan to make it work down their,” said Burrow.
