Open enrollment for Healthcare.gov health insurance ends on Sunday. Director of the Office of Minority Health Dr. LaShawn McIver said anyone in need of health insurance can visit Healthcare.gov and apply.
“And if they’re eligible select a plan that will best meet their needs. And customers may even qualify for financial help paying for their health insurance premiums,” said McIver.
January 15th is also the deadline for those already enrolled to make changes to their current health plan. McIver said they want to make the process as easy as possible with a call center to assist with your application or answer any questions.
“And we provide assistance in 200 different languages. And also, the Marketplace Call Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” said McIver.
She said there are several health-related expenses that are covered under the insurance plan, like preventive services.
“Prescription drugs are covered, and your doctor’s visit. So, there are many different things that are covered and it’s important for individuals to have health insurance when they need it,” said McIver.
You can reach the Marketplace Call Center at 1-800-318-2596 and for more information visit Healthcare.gov
