42-year-old Nathan Millard of Georgia who's body was located March 6th after he went missing last month.
Baton Rouge authorities release a preliminary autopsy report on Nathan Millard, the Georgia businessman who went missing two weeks ago, and body was found Monday wrapped in plastic and carpet in a blighted part of town. BRPD Captain Kevin Heinz said at this time it doesn’t appear Millard had any external or internal injuries.
“I know that he was placed there, obviously by another individual, we would like to know who and why. But just from the autopsy results, that were given by the coroner’s office, at this time there doesn’t appear to be any signs of foul play,” said Heinz.
Final autopsy results are pending a toxicology report.
Police were limited as to what details they could disclose because it’s an active investigation. They believe Millard died elsewhere and Heinz said efforts are underway to locate the person or persons who moved Millard’s body to the 2900 block of Scenic Highway.
“We’ll ask whoever put him there if something happened and there was a moment of panic, come forward. We just want to know what happened,” said Heinz.
After leaving a downtown bar, detectives have traced Millard’s steps from camera footage and witness accounts. Heinz said Millard spoke with a security guard at the Greyhound bus station and she offered him a ride.
“He didn’t appear to be in distress she just felt as though he was out of place. He declined that offer and he left there under his own accord,” said Heinz.
The last camera footage they have of Millard is from 4:30 AM on February 23rd. Police are asking anyone who has any information about the case to call them or Crimestoppers at 225-344-STOP (225-344-77867).
