Frymaster, which produces commercial frying equipment, is expanding its operations in Shreveport which will create nearly 50 direct jobs. Frymaster’s Vice President of Business Development and Product Management, Wendell Hays, says this investment is an important step in supporting the continued growth of their business and the customers who depend on them.
“We’ve been growing really strong in the last three or four years in particular, with double-digit sales growth year after year after year,” Hays said.
Frymaster began manufacturing in Shreveport in 1935. Major foodservice operators from around the world are their customers. Hayes says Frymaster is investing $11 million to expand their operations.
“We have to expand, both in terms of our manufacturing footprint as well as the number of people that we have that are working on building our products, so that we can service our customers around the world,” Hays explained.
Hayes says by expanding their operational capacity, they are creating greater flexibility to meet future demand.
“As we come across new opportunities with new customers that are looking to buy a large amount of fryers, they want to know that we have the capacity to be able to meet their needs,” Hays noted.
Hayes says go to frymaster.com if you are interested in working for Frymaster.
