For the first time in the Louisiana Lottery’s 31-year history, a $20 scratch-off game is part of a multiplier-themed family of games. Louisiana Lottery spokesperson Dustin Annison said the new option goes on sale today, they are called 5X, 10X, 20X, 50X, and 100X and they sell respectively for one, two, five, ten, and twenty dollars.
“The first-ever $20 scratch-off 100x is very exciting for us, it features four top prizes of half a million dollars and also a scratch my back feature for extra chances to win,” said Annison.
The odds of winning the top prize are about one in 390-thousand.
Annison said other lotteries across the country have had huge success with higher-priced scratch-off games with twenty, thirty, fifty, and even $100 tickets.
“Our players have been asking for this for a while, for the chances to play at a higher price point ticket with the higher prizes and we’re happy to be launching this as our part of our multiplier family of games,” said Annison.
The $20 ticket will be the same size as the $10 ticket and Annison said they offer a 73% payout and more chances to win on the ticket.
“And also, a special thing with this one there will be no free ticket prizes in 100X but you’ll be getting a breakeven cash prizes instead,” said Annison.
